Though not directed at retail, these hints at how to construct a Do-It-Yourself Pegboard Shelf just might come in handy one day. Literally you can make anything into Pegboard Mount. Using standard threaded 90º L-Hooks, you could mount (and dismount) almost custom shelves and all manner of item. Best hint of all is the slight Chamfer suggested for the back. PVC Quivers for Retail Rack

Where an open divider, like the rack framework also shown, would allow the display to devolve into a messy array of pick-up sticks, the PVC corrals and maintains order. The site formerly broadcast from http://www.fixturescloseup.wordpress.com. Both URL’s (Uniform Resource Locators) will lead you to the site, though the new domain is certainly easier to type.

These modular bins are often sold for home use as opposed to retail merchandising. Here they are quickly purposed to take advantage of seasonal sales opportunities at the store entrance. The only disadvantage is a decidedly low front lip limited the amount of stock securely contained.

Grid Hook Lacks The Grid

Plastic Cable Tie (Wire Tie) anchors a Grid Hook to a vertical display stanchion in a contemporary gift boutique sometimes called a Head Shop. Since the retail fixturing was very informal throughout, this guerrilla marketing technique did not look out of place or adversely impact store “Brand.” And it proves that those of the Hippie genre ARE entrepreneurial and maybe even materialistic when it comes to their own sales.

Heat Bent vs. Molded Trays

Sheet acrylic cut then heat bent into a tray rather than molded as a single unit in very expensive dies. A great money-saving concept. And the visual effect for these socks is well-nigh the same.  Only close examination reveals the tell-tale slit at the corners. So next time you envision crystal clear trays, boxes or Acrylic bins to carry your theme, maybe think heat-bent? The money you save could well be the money that funds your bonus.

Hooks Create Hardware Dividers

Ordinary Pegboard Scan Hooks are pressed into service to divide and organize tall items, in this case Thresholds in hardware. A spillover benefit is the ability to clearly specify price for different lengths, as shown by the multiple Aluminum Thresholds and three hooks at lower left. But ordinary Scan Hooks have extra unneeded frontwires and make the display a bit prickly in appearance. Special purpose label holder/sign holder hooks alone could do the job nicely with fewer prongs and visual distractions.
