We have certainly all seen Pegboard-mount Bars Merchandisers and Space Frames. But this is the first I have seen that flush mounts to the Pegboard itself. With minimal clearance it certainly completes the topmost level of the cascading bar tiers, which at lower levels are part Bar Merchandiser part Space Frame themselves. Siamanese Twin T-Shirts DetailGanging two similar Tees and scrunching together rather than individually centering gives a Siamese-Twin effect to merchandising. Tieback bottoms also change the look. You wouldn’t want you T-shirts to look to plain and ordinary would you? Neither did the Luther Burbank Gift Shop. So simple variations add to overall eye appeal.

Oversize Wrap-back for J-Hook

Not a common solution for gift cards, this. But here it has some rationale. Saddle Mount Hooks allow infinite horizontal adjustment of spacing, but work well only if a bit of weight, as in heavy masses of gift cards, are hung. Otherwise, lightly loaded, they can jostle out of position. And if the plan is for masses of merchandise on each hook, J-hooks are among the best for insuring they stay on the fixture and are not, in turn, jostled off the end. So again, maybe not a common solution, but one that works here. Visit a Kohl’s for more J-Hookery. If recollection serves me, they are specialists in this hook design. In a Kohl’s you can’t throw a stick without hitting a J-hook.

Triple-Wire, Dual-Role Loop Hook

Super Duty Bar Hook Main + Detail

Three frontwires of two different gauges, a welded rear cross pin, and rear bar grabs make this one of the most stalwart Bar Hook designs I have seen. The outer frontwires are in Loop configuration, creating a safely rounded nose. But the product dislayed is very light, and these Super-Duty Hooks outfit only the top bar at about waist height. Lower rows of hooks are  slightly more threatening heavy-duty Straight-Cut Single Prong Hooks. I suggest these rounded Super-Duty Hooks have a dual function keeping shoppers and playful kids a bit further from harm. They just might be an additional line of safety defense, as well as capable of heavier loads when needed. CLICK the gallery below for all views of this application.

But you could easily re-purpose a true ladder or salvage one from early retirement to the trash heap to create the same effect. The ceiling support makes sure no one topples the display and presents a true vertical positioning of the T-shirt graphic. All-Wire Padded Guitar Hanger

Billed as an All Wire Guitar Hanger for your closet, and much like an exaggerated S-Hook, I see no reason why this would not function well in a bar-mount retail arrangement. Since the “axes” would hang side-by-side you would still need some as forward facing displays. But imagine how many you could bar-hang as back stock for aficionados to pick out and caress. You could even have your manufacturer change the orientation so as to face forward. In either configuration the simply-constructed, All Wire Hook would be economy incarnate.

Frame Displayer Re-Imagined

Frame Displayers normally merchandise frames, mirrors, and other oversize items. Here the concept is used to sell large and heavy Socket Sets in the tool department. Standard design Frame Holders would do the job, but a Super-Duty custom design imparts an even greater impression of strength and quality to the merchandise. Good sales psychology if you are trying to brand yourself and command a better price. But also see that dust build-up on the flat metal plate is an eyesore. Open wire designs would automatically shed dust and dirt. CLICK on the gallery below to step through other views. Note that the front productstops can be equal or unequal heights if the item demands. See also that the package graphics mostly avoid being overridden by the frontstops.

Clothes Hanger Circus Colors Main

Being Obsessive Compulsive I buy my hangers in matched sets of colors. Best I can manage might be 2 to 3 colors or styles of hangers across the entire house. And 2 styles in any one closet would be an extreme. Here each bundle of clothes hangers is a riot of color. Given that this store does sell children’s furnishings and more, maybe hanger playfulness is a selling point? I was uncomfortable just thinking what type of person (other than kids) could deploy this cacophony of color in their closets. What about you? Could you deal with a closet in which every outfit hung on a hanger if a different color? Think about it.

The shape functions like a cleat helping anchor the scarf, forestalling slipping off off the hanger, a complaint I’ve heard about other scarf fixtures. Men's Scarves Tied to Bar AuxOver 50 styles of  scarf knots have been documented here on FixturesCloseUp. Rarely are any seen used to merchandise men’s scarves. And here the planogram and visual directive surely must have been exceeded by the store staff. Note that a gaggle of unused S-Hooks hang to the right of the bar. The  designer might have envisioned these hung more simply. The store staff could not resist stepping up the presentation. Skull Scarf Marketing CloseUp Equal Treatment for Goths

Skull Scarf Marketing OverviewMarketing must have this down to a science. Amid a broader array of scarves than you can even see in the photos, lurks this Skull offering. Apparently only 1 in 100 or 1 in 1,000 are Goth or have an actual cranial-design predilection. Far be it from any sales professional to miss such ba definable niche market. Even color is predictable and does not follow the vagaries of normal fashion. I’d love to track this scarf to see if it sells as Spring unfolds, or whether it languishes until Halloween or beyond. Ironing Board Dividers Main

Rarely have I seen a retail fixture and display challenge so well-met. Ironing Board could self display standing on gondola anywhere or hanging from Heavy-Duty Utility Hooks. But dividers help organize and align the display rows. A hooked front insures that boards can’t topple onto shoppers, yet allow a gate for easy removal. T-Bar As Big As Tow Bar

T-Hooks gain their share of coverage here on Fixtures Close Up. This Faceout stands out because of its marvelous machining, large-diameter “bracelet hump” and broad width. For the light items shown there is little threat of yaw due to unbalanced load.
