I have heard this chain fitting called a “Jaw Bite,” but others call it a “Gyve,” “Shackle” or more precisely a Bow Shackle with Screw Pin. Here it performs the duties of an S-Hook. This looks really great. However, if it’s difficult it is to get a pair of jeans off the hook to try them on it could hinder sales. Looking at it it’s not intuitive (to me) as to how you’d unfasten them. If that pin across the U-bolt has to unscrew, forget about it, I’m not bothering.
All you need is a wrench, Lyn. A heavy duty Cotter Pin might do it too, in that the threaded pins have a hole drilled where your could insert the Cotter, and use it as a lever to spin out closure.
But in seriousness I imagine this display was high, with folded Jeans below for purchase. I included it as a post from other sources because it ties with my Rust Finish, Jean Display, and other threads.
