QR Code Fills Storefront Window

If your business fronted the center city square, what better way to use the second floor window space than rent for QR-equipped advertising facing the park and roundabout? And given the perchance for center-city night life, a QR targeting nightlife is a perfect fit. Plus on the street level, there is cold foreign and domestic beer to go. What an excellent adjacency! CLICK the thumbnail for another street view. I always suggest you include a typeset URL, given that it can take 50 seconds to unsling a Smartphone, fire up a QR app, and take the shot. I can type the URL far faster.

  3. Interesting idea, but can anyone actually scan the QR code from the sidewalk? The wrinkle in the vinyl probably doesn’t help the scanning process either.

    • Since this faced a large square or plaza, I would think you could scan from quite a distance away, from which point any small wrinkles or imperfections would not be visible to the camera. But I cannot say for sure. I don’t think you could scan from the sidewalk immediately beneath. If it were me advertising, I would certainly test this in real life. As an idea however, I like it.

      • Oh I agree, I definitely like the idea – it’s a good use of window space. I’m just curious as to how effective it has been for them, and if it scans at that level. Someone definitely had their thinking caps on!
