But open wire sheds dust and dirt, and allows light to pass through to lower levels. (Plus in refrigerated case it supports cool air circulation). Open wire product stops are also see-through, and spaced closely enough to front other merchandise. The slight decline is not quite gravity feed, but it might help forwarding the merchandise for better display.
