Individual Metal Plate Label Holders are most often seen in Metal Plate Scan Hooks. They support adhesive labeling systems, once the industry standard and still very popular in retail. Along shelf edges and supporting shelf management systems there are often standard provisions for adhesive labels in the form of C-channel, tag channel, and linear metal plate. But here, rather than a full-length metal plate as label mount, this fixture includes short plates for each facing. The interesting question is, are the material savings from not employing a full width metal plate, greater than the labor and manufacturing costs of stamping and installing short metal plate holders. Andrea: So good to meet you. So it is YOU who drives the creative Museum Case displays at Nordstrom? My closest store is 100 miles away so I cannot visit as often as I would like. Since I cover retail fixture and point-of-purchase in closeup, the Visual Merchandising of Museum Cases is on a scale I include when something catches my eye. With your permission I might be able to tie my occasional blog coverage to your portfolio. I encourage you to continue your documentation of your work … not just as your portfolio, but as a Visual Merchandising blog and history for Nordstrom. But don’t become too famous. Otherwise all will head to your portfolio and I will be left with only pegboard hooks to document.
