This is the book you all hoped for from Louis Vuitton, an interweaving of the history of the House of Vuitton with the dramatic cultural and style changes of the past 150 years. Written by the Brand’s long-time Communications Director, it might inspire me as day-job Communications Manager to write ”A History of Wireforms and Pegboard Hooks in Retail” for my well-nigh 50-year old,  hook-pioneering firm Trion Industries, Inc. (Visit the founder of modern in-store hookery at David R. Thalenfeld) But while I create a first draft, busy yourself with Louis Vuitton’s “The Birth of Modern Luxury” … sadly not available for hands-on (pun intended) inspection like this at all Vuitton locations.
