“Tin”!??
I took a bit of writers poetic license there in saying “tin” to conjure up the image of those old fashioned tin-type toys. Of course it could be aluminum or steel. And of course it was painted or powdercoated. I’ll let you imagine it your way. To me it is an old-fashioned tin-type creation.
SEE … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin_toy
Ahh yes, I had a clicker toy like the one in the wiki. Majority of metal now is steel (CRS) powdercoated in color. Cheaper parts can be of pregalvanized steel. Only some extrusions are best made of aluminum now, in general.
So “Tin Toy” does conjure an image. I chose the term purposefully … But yes I suspect this is actually steel.
