Here is a floor graphic – sort a of – with a function. What a wonderful and easy way to approximate kid’s shoe sizes. Just have them find the shoe outline that matches their existing, and you have a starting point for the next shoe size. Given how quickly kids grow and the need to buy large to allow for growth you might only rarely use more precise shoe measuring systems. But for an adult, I know I’d want to measure precisely or check the actual sizing stamped inside the shoe. But if I were a shoe manufacturer, I would supply these portable mats to retail free … prominently imprinted with my logo and in my corporate brand color … and maybe the image of my latest footwear release. In certain retail environments, inclusion of European sizes might be appropriate.
