Low-rider French Bread Baskets

It must have been excellent French Bread, for it was all gone by the time I got there. And the Bakers had all gone home after a long hot day. But an empty fixture is best for examination by Fixtures Close Up, so I forged ahead. It is a French-Bread-specific wicker basket fixture, because it rides low and allows the long, tall sticks of French to stick up.

    • Hi Mary. I am sorry that I don’t know the source of the fixtures I find and report on in retail. But this was seen at the entrance to the Bakery Department of a WalMart. You might see one near you locally, and find the manufacturer’s or supplier’s name on it somewhere. You might tray several WalMarts until you find it. I do not recall seeing it at all WalMart I visit.

You might also consider imitating the effect with wicker baskets you purchase separately. A weight in the bottom would keep the long bread from toppling the basket. If they are too short, small stands (maybe plant stands) under would put them at a convenient height.

Good luck with your search and project.
