Ordinary totes take the place of formal bins in retailing travel size and convenience portion items. The totes are equally functional, add a wall of color, contrast with the items on sale, and provide a sense of immediacy that says “buy me now.” A seasonal promotion, label holders were simple clear vinyl pouches with split ring like snap-closers. They were not quit as effective or durable, but mostly survived the season. This concept rolled out in a specialty chain in 2008. But a good idea is a good idea, regardless.
SEARCH “Tote” for other examples and “Personal Size” for other style implementations.
Love the colored bins. We are currently using Akro Bins and use the different colors for the different wall systems- Red for slatwall, blue for gridwall, etc.
